Cabo is an amazing destination ideal for people living in the U.S. looking for a beautiful place to stay that isn't too far away.

A couple things to keep in mind in Cabo:
There are people everywhere looking to make a quick buck. They will help you find a cab and ask for a tip. They will offer you tourist excursions at the marina. They will also haggle you as you get off the plane for time shares. Cabo is notorious for 'sharks' trying to hook you into their timeshares. Many people choose to sit through the long talks about timeshares to get free excursions or discounts etc. On the other hand, there are loads of helpful, people in Cabo at the resorts so you may want to bring some ones for tips.
Anyway... let's get to the fun part....
LENGTH OF STAY: One Week
ACCOMMODATION: There are loads of amazing resorts located in Cabo. I can only personally vouch for Hacienda Del Mar and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. I have also heard good things about Villa Del Palmar and Rui.
TRANSPORTATION: Taxis are your best option in Cabo. Renting a car is also an option but with insurance, more likely than not, it is more expensive then it is worth. We used Victor's Cabo Transportation and had a wonderful experience. Book with them here!
CURRENCY: The official currency in Mexico is the Peso. However you can use American dollars pretty much anywhere. It will cost you A LOT of money to convert at the airport. The best option is to find an ATM at a supermarket and withdraw pesos there. Your bank fees will undoubtedly be less than the airport fee (we paid about $30 just to convert $120.) Check the current conversion rate here!
SITE SEEING:
Snorkeling- Many people go to Cabo for the snorkeling. We had a snorkel experience near Lover's Beach. It was okay. I have heard great things about Cabo Pulmo. A bit more expensive and more of a drive but, apparently worth it.
Swimming with Dolphins- Swimming with dolphins is not cheap but is definitely worth it! You have two dolphin experience options in Cabo, both of which I have tried.
CaboDolphins: This is a good, local option if you are staying in Cabo San Lucas. It is located right in the marina. The dolphins are in a large pool which isn't massive but the dolphins do seem legitimately happy. Book CaboDolphins Here!
Dolphin Discovery: A good option if you are in San Jose or Los Cabos. This is a sectioned off area in the ocean so it is a bit more of a natural habitat but truly doesn't offer much more space than the pools at CaboDolphins. We did the all inclusive and it was fun but felt a bit rushed and isn't really worth it unless you get a super great deal (we got 2 for 1). Book Dolphin Discovery Here!
FOOD: Many hotel rooms include kitchenettes. Shopping at Walmart or another supermarket is a great way to save money and get what you want! Many airport transfers include a stop at a supermarket.
PENNY MACHINES: The only machines in Cabo are located at the airport and Cabo Wabo.
