I have always been a fan of having flushable wipes around but they are so bad for our septic system and can clog pipes. They also cost a lot of money and create unnecessary plastic packaging waste. We have been ordering our toilet paper from Grove. They sell awesome tree free toilet paper but unfortunately it isn't the softest thing in the world... I created this toilet paper spray that turns any toilet paper you have into a wonderful wet wipe. Most of these items can be purchased at your local bulk store or even at Target or a grocery store. You usually will find witch hazel in the pharmacy area near the rubbing alcohol. We have a great local store that lets you refill containers so you don't need plastic waste.
Toilet Paper Spray
-4 oz glass spray bottle (or whatever other spray bottle you have around. My favorite is my re-used bottle from Saje).
-1 tablespoon fractionated coconut oil
-1 tablespoon aloe vera
-4 to 10 drops lavender essential oil (or another skin safe oil you like)
-Witch hazel
Directions:
1. Put coconut oil, aloe and essential oils in the small bottle.
2. Fill the rest of the way full with witch hazel.
3. Shake to mix!
4. Spray 3-5 sprays on toilet paper before wiping. Shake each time before use.
